Started by long-time business partners and friends, John Youse and Tyler Russell, who wanted to create a unique experience with the cannabis community.

Having already been involved with another shop’s startup they decided to branch out on their own with the downtown location.

As John explains, “Tyler and I had a clear vision (second time around) of a relaxed Alaskan atmosphere with knowledgeable and personable staff from the get-go. To create something by Alaskans but for everyone. We wanted to incorporate a bit of history and wonder in the heart of downtown without creating a sterile, heartless or pretentious environment/business. The front and lounge wood siding actually comes from an old cannery on the Kenai penisula, and the lounge is decorated with authentic Alaskan tools and artifacts.”

John has called Alaska his home for 22 years, and wife Bonnie was born and raised in Eagle River. Tyler Russell, a life long Alaskan, also hails from Eagle River.
